Destination Elopement Wedding at Chateau de Chenonceau with Jill & Vitaliy
Let's talk about stepping into a complete fairy-tale!!! When Melinda the wedding planner at Castle Key Weddings contacted me to see if I was interested in flying back to France for this destination elopement I WAS THRILLED BEYOND IMAGINATION!!!! Like, how fast can we say "OUI OUI OUI, bien sûr" right?! Château de Chenonceau has always been my absolute favorite castle, and one that I find incredibly romantic in its design and garden layout. It's built in a renaissance style and it is best known as "the ladies chateau", as throughout its history it's all of the princesses & queens who've lived in it who have most influenced its design and its destiny. GIRL POWER MUUUWAHAHAHA!!!! So what better place for a francophile and francophone (french-loving and french-speaking) couple like Jill & Vitaliy to make all their frenchie dreams come true!!! From the first contact with Jill we hit it off like old friends ( I mean, DUH we both love all things french PLUS she's a total idealist like moi ), and I knew this day would be an absolute dream, as it certainly was! They started the day with their bridal preparations at Château de la Bourdaisière, (that's right friends, two castles in one day, wooohoo!) followed by their ceremony in the infamous gardens of Château de Chenonceau in the Loire Valley of France. Jill actually said all her vows in french, so romantic! Next it was time for a pride & prejudice style picnic on the grounds, followed by a wine tasting in their caves, a first dance in the beautiful gallery of the castle that's literally built over the Cher river, and finally a meal at a traditional style french cave restaurant. Jill said it was the happiest day of her life, and I can certainly understand why! Enjoy this beautiful gallery of this MAGNIFIQUE couple!
